This Diccionario de sinónimos de frases hechas (DSFF) is a conceptual dictionary and a dictionary of usage of lexicalised expressions of the Catalan language, mainly of contemporary Catalan.

Based on concepts, it provides grammatical and linguistic information on idioms of different grammatical nature. It is innovative in specifying several relations of meaning (synonymy, antonymy, argumental inversion and semantic extension) and multiple cross-references to other lexicalised expressions.

It is the most complete dictionary of idioms in existence today, an essential work for teachers, translators and writers in general. It includes 5,500 conceptual entries and 15,500 lexicalised expressions, which are recorded in 18,850 different index cards.

The printed edition includes a CD-ROM that allows multiple searches that complement the functionalities of the work. It is a product made in 2006 and has software requirements that no longer fit most of today's computer equipment.

The requirements for the installation of the CD-ROM are: PC compatible 486 at 50 Mhz and 16 Mb RAM or higher. CD-ROM drive. Windows 2000, ME, NT or XP is recommended. Also works with Windows 7 32-bit. It does not work with Windows 7 64-bit, or higher.

To minimise this problem we have made available a freely accessible pdf version of the book (it does not incorporate the software included on the CD-ROM that accompanies the printed edition).
