Experiències docents d'Aprenentatge i Servei a la UAB

This new issue of TOOLS presents a series of service-learning experiences (SL) that have been carried out at the UAB in recent years. All of them are innovative and socially committed teaching proposals, where students have the opportunity to develop knowledge in a specific context and in a critical way. Specifically, in this educational proposal, students participate in a project aimed at solving a real need in a community to improve the quality of life and the environment of that community. The first chapter defines what service learning is and what are the benefits of implementing this educational proposal at the university and explains the process of its implementation and institutionalisation at the UAB. The second chapter focuses on the role of the UAB ApS Innovation Group and the role it has played in reflection, promotion, accompaniment in the implementation of new ApS experiences and evaluation. The rest of the chapters present ApS experiences promoted by various faculties, such as Biosciences, Education and Veterinary Science, and clearly detail the phases of the proposals, the actions carried out and the students' evaluation of their experience in the project. We are sure that this TOOLS can inspire you to innovate in your teaching!
