Indòmit: XVI Premi de Narrativa Breu per a Joves «Caterina Albert» de 2025

The satisfaction after conquering a summit, the roar of a stream bubbling with rage, the desolate silence that fills the villages of the Pyrenees when night falls, the sense of safety radiating from a lit fireplace. Indòmit portrays —with intimate language and a finely crafted use of scene— the sensations its protagonist experiences after settling in an isolated mountain cabin; but it also invites us to reflect on the importance of making peace with ourselves and remaining true to our real selves.
The story speaks of nature as a space of freedom and purity, endowed with a unique healing power that can help us reconnect with our essence and recover our wildest spirit.

Indòmit was the winning work of the 2025 16th «Caterina Albert» Young Writers’ Short Narrative Award, organized by the UAB and the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council.
