Apunts biogràfics dels Lupresti a la llum d'un dietari familiar
Synopsis
The handwritten diary of the Lupresti family presented in this volume is a valuable contextualising document that has served to lay the foundations for the biographies of three musicians from Barcelona (Plàcido, Domingo and Anton) who, although they did not have an international career, did have an outstanding presence in the musical context of Barcelona in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Beyond the big names, the story is constructed from an infinite number of characters who, interacting with each other, weave a social fabric that is essential to know in order to understand in all its depth the course of history. It is for this reason that the handwritten diary of the Lupresti family, although it does not provide sufficient data to enable us to draw up definitive biographies of Plàcido, Domingo and Anton, is certainly a happy discovery of one more of the many facets that make up the musical history of our country and which, therefore, will contribute to a more complete understanding of it.
