Synopsis

This is the seventh volume of the "Glosas" collection, published by the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona to remember the faculty who have retired during the 2022-2023 academic year. In this year's three contributions there is a common thread around teaching. With a personal and honest point of view, Anna Aguilar-Amat writes about her teaching experience in the subject of Terminology and briefly reviews her research career from the perspective of a leading academic in her field. Next, Remei Perpiñán reviews the challenges she has had to manage as a teacher of Applied Documentation and provides a must-read review of the evolution of information management over the last three decades. Finally, Joaquim Sala-Sanahuja writes for this volume a charming memoir of his time as a student in Paris and Barcelona, between 1970 and 1986, and talks especially about his teachers of that time. The three writings are very different and valuable. They not only make us witnesses of lived experiences, but also invite us to rethink our task as university teachers.
